The palast has been owned by von Moltke family. Most famous owners was Helmuth von Moltke and the last one: Helmuth James von Moltke, who is most known als a leader of Kreisau Circle, an antifascist organisation, active during the Hitler period in Germany. Members Kreisau Circle met in that palace, hosted by Helmuth James von Moltke. On 1944 Helmut James von Moltke hast been arrested, judged with the sentence capital punishment and finaly killed.
After Second World War the property was used as a state owned farm, and day by day going into ruine.
The renovation was started on the year 1990 and has been mainly financed by the "Endowment for German-Polish Understanding". After the renovation, on 1998 in the property was officially opened as International Youth Meeting Place.
