St. Pancras Railway Station, London

St. Pancras was extensively renovated between 2001-2007 at a cost of £800 million (in no small part as it's the London terminus for the Eurostar High Speed Rail link to the continent) and is now one of the most impressive Railway Stations in London, both inside and out. The sculpture of the man holding his hat is of the poet and Railway lover Sir John Betjeman by Martin Jennings. Sir John and was one of the key people responsible for preventing the Station's demolition in the 1960s.

Currently there is extensive urban regeneration work going on in its immediate surroundings.
