St. Georg Church, Badbergen, Germany
Inside the church are some characteristic objects. The large Romanesque baptismal font is immediately noticable and dates back to the first half of the 13th century. Its base has four crouching lions, carrying the large barrel shaped font. From 1651 untill 1866 the church was also used for Catholic baptisms. In those days the font was divided into two halfs, one for the Evangelists, the other for the Catholics. The cover of the font still reminds of those simultaneous baptisms.
Two large gothic brass floor candlesticks date back to the year 1450, and the beautiful pulpit was made in 1629.
