Meryem Ana Church / old Prison, Cappadocia, Turkey

After the Turkish-Greek people exchange in 1923, this church was first used to store goods. In 1950 it had been changed into a prison. In the middle of the church they have built a second floor and several walls created the cells for the prisoners. Since 1983 its empty. The panorama shows the 1st floor with the doors to the cells of the prison. Behind the wall in the background was the "mosque", a simple place to pray with painted mihrab at the wall. - If you have any information about the church or the village etc., please contact the photographer - thank you!

Thanks for your comment. I will enjoy travelling for sure. I will meet some friends in Cappadocia and return back to this church to shoot some panos for a research project. Actually for a few days I can combine the things I love to do and call it work ;-)
  Are you planning to visit the Photokina in September?

Uhmm, yes i´m planning to go but i´m not sure if i would because im planning my next journey  i don´t want to go on august because of the monsoon season so probably i would have to go september.
